I wanted to focus on some kind of fitness series for the month of January to give everyone reading the Periodical some fun ideas to exercise in the safety of our homes. When it suddenly hit me, why bore everyone with basic crunch routines and push up counts? I am digging back into my career as a Hula Hoop Fitness Dance Instructor and sharing some of the basics to get you moving, grooving, and working out in the comfort of your own home! To learn hula hoop fitness & dance is the perfect way to express your creative outlets, stay safe in your home and of course listen to your favorite songs, all while getting a great FULL BODY WORKOUT!

Follow me this January, 2021 in a beginners series to learn hula hoop fitness & dance! We will be covering stretching, conditioning, how to choose the right hula hoop, along with basic lessons on how to waist hoop right, and left, simple dance tricks and so much more!
Preparing Yourself for the Series
To get yourself prepared for this new series, you’ll want to find a place in your home (possibly a spare room, garage, attic, or basement) where you can spread out and move around with your hula hoop. Put away those breakables! hehe.
Also, if you don’t already own a hula hoop you’ll need to get one! You will want to decide if you want to use a weighted hoop or a lightweight dance hoop like the one in the video above.
