Healing French Onion Soup

This Healing French Onion soup recipe is taken from the book “Super Foods” by Lee Holmes

This soup is like a big warm hug on chilly afternoons. Support your immunity and fight infections with this simple Healing French Onion Soup. Gluten Free & can be made vegan <3

You Will Need:

– 2 tbsp. Olive Oil
– 8 brown or yellow onions, sliced thin
-3 garlic cloves, finely chopped
-8 cups of liquid (chicken, beef or veggie broth, filtered water)
-Fresh chives to garnish when served

Preparation:

(serves 4)
Heat the olive oil in a large saucepan over medium heat and slowly cook the onions and garlic until translucent and brown. Add your liquid of choice cover and simmer for about 30 minutes. Add salt and pepper to taste. Garnish with chives when served.
